Areas of Interest

A graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Kimberly Orleck received a B.A. in psychology and was named to Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. She holds a master’s in public health (MPH) in nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is also a registered dietician (RD). After practicing as a clinical dietitian, she went on to complete her Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant (MMSc-PA) degree at Emory University.

Kim holds a part-time faculty position with the Emory PA program in addition to a faculty role with GHAPP (Gastroenterology and Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers), where she also serves as their chair of education. Kim continues to teach and precept PA students at Emory and Mercer Universities, and furthermore, is on both the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and practice management committees of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG). Kim is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants (GAPA), and the American Dietetic Association.

In addition to her clinical practice, she also serves as the Director of APPs for United Digestive, a GI practice management company of which AGA is a partner, overseeing their more than 70 APPs. Kim joined AGA in 2009.
