Areas of Interest

A graduate of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md., Dr. Hon received a combined medical degree and doctorate in immunology and molecular pathogenesis from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga. After completing her residency in internal medicine, she completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Emory University. During her fellowship, she received the “Best Fellow Teaching Award” from the Internal Medicine Residency. She then completed a second fellowship in transplant hepatology.

Dr. Hon has been widely published in leading journals including Hepatology, the Journal of Immunology, Digestive Diseases and Sciences, and the Journal of Virology. She is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and American College of Gastroenterology, and holds both advanced cardiac life support and basic cardiac life support certifications.

In addition to general gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr. Hon has a special interest in viral hepatitis and autoimmune liver diseases. She joined the practice in 2013.
