Chundra is a graduate of Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Ga., where she received both a bachelor’s degree in biology and nursing. While completing her coursework, she served in the United States Army Reserve as a chemical operations staff sergeant for eight years and was on active duty from 2001 to 2003. In addition, Chundra holds a master’s degree in nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Georgia Regents University in Augusta (formerly the Medical College of Georgia).
Previously, Chundra worked as a nursing assistant for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Athens, Ga., and Tomah, Wis., and as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Athens Regional Medical Center. In 2011, she was the recipient of the DAISY Award for Nurses recognizing her clinical expertise and excellence in patient care.
Chundra is a member of the international honor society of nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, and she is certified in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support. She joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2013.
