Areas of Interest

A graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Dr. Karim received her medical degree from Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where she also completed her internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology. During her fellowship, she studied with Dr. Aline Charabaty, a specialist in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Dr. Karim is a member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American College of Gastroenterology. She joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2011.
