Lori J. Lucas, MD

Dr. Lucas is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens, with a B.S. in zoology. After completing her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, she completed an internship in anesthesiology at Emory University and its affiliated hospitals. Dr. Lucas completed her residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Georgia and her fellowship in gastroenterology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Since 1989, Dr. Lucas has been practicing in the Atlanta area. She joined Northside Gastroenterology, P.A. in 2004, which was acquired by Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2010. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Medical Association, the Georgia Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Society, and the Southern Medical Association. For the sixth consecutive year, Dr. Lucas was named to Atlanta Magazine's 'Top Doctors' guide in gastroenterology by Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd.
