Eric N. Steinberg, MD

Dr. Steinberg is a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where he received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. After earning his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, he completed his internship and residency at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Steinberg also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of South Carolina in Columbia where he then served as an assistant professor of medicine for the university’s division of gastroenterology.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Steinberg has been in private practice diagnosing and treating all types of digestive diseases. Most recently, he had his own private practice – Comprehensive Gastroenterology of Georgia, LLC – where he served patients in Atlanta and Alpharetta. 

Among other professional accolades, Dr. Steinberg’s clinical research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Journal of Gastroenterology, and the American Journal of Managed Care.

He joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2018.
