Brian Hudes, MD

Dr. Hudes is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from Tel Aviv University’s Sackler School of Medicine in Israel. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. As a resident, he worked extensively with the liver transplant service which led him to pursue fellowships in hepatology and gastroenterology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.

For the last 20 years, Dr. Hudes has been providing digestive healthcare services to the metro Atlanta area. Most recently, he led his own private practice – Advanced Gastroenterology Associates, LLC. During that time, he was recognized by Appen newspapers with the People’s Choice award for gastroenterology and by Best Self magazine with the Best Gastroenterologist award.

Dr. Hudes is a diplomate of the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is also a member of numerous medical associations, including the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to several medical and consumer publications on the topics of gastroenterology, hepatitis C, colonoscopy, and other health-related issues. His is clinical interests in hepatology include new treatments for chronic hepatitis C, low testosterone, and insulin resistance, as well as nutritional evaluation and treatment.
