A magna cum laude graduate of Yeshiva University, Dr. Levitt received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. He completed both his internship and residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Following a year as chief resident at Frankford-Torresdale Hospital of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, he returned to Temple University Hospital, where he completed his fellowship in gastroenterology.

During his fellowship, Dr. Levitt participated in a number of research projects and during his career, has had several papers published in gastroenterology journals.

He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Levitt joined the practice in 2007.
