Certified Medical Assistant / LPN needed in the Northside Office, Full Time

Responsible for assisting physicians and management with all clinical, clerical, and organizational tasks revolving around patient care.  Manages patient charts and assumes responsibility for resolving patient requests including test results, prescription refills, and general healthcare questions.

Histotechnician needed in the Kennestone location, Full-time. 30060

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Maintains diagnostic viability of all specimens received, and ensures correct labeling of all materials.
  • Performs routine immunohistochemically studies with appropriate controls for cell markers on paraffin sections using a variety of both monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies and a wide variety of specialized techniques. 
  • Embeds tissue in paraffin, sections paraffin blocks, performs H&E staining, Cover slips prepared slides manually or utilizes automated cover slipping systems 
  • Prepares all reagents, buffers and stains utilized in laboratory and maintain acceptable working volumes. 
  • Organizes slides for distribution to the Pathologist.
  • Maintains inventory of a large number of reagents and other supplies in Lab. Follows established protocols for proper storage and maintenance of quality control for all reagents and other supplies. 
  • Maintains equipment in proper working order and obtains maintenance as necessary. 
  • Identifies problems and brings to the attention of more senior laboratory staff. Troubleshoots with supervision. 
  • Assists in safety training of all laboratory personnel. This includes maintaining appropriate documentation and protocols.
  • Participates in continuing education/in-service training sessions.
  • Maintains established department policies, procedures and objectives, including the areas of quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control. 
  • Follows all CLIA Patient Safety Goals. 
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as directed.

Staff Nurse - LPN needed at the Gwinnett Endoscopy Center, Full time. Lawrenceville, GA 30046

Provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center in accordance with physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, legal aspects of current nurse practice in the State of Georgia and the Center’s policies and procedures. Under direct supervision, performs various routine and accommodative tasks for patients receiving any procedure in the scope of GI Lab services, including adolescents, adult and geriatric patients. Contributes to the overall function of the unit by assisting with clerical duties, housekeeping chores, instrument reprocessing, and nursing errands as designated. Assists with front office tasks as directed by the Nurse in charge.

Direct Access Lead Coordinator needed in the Patient Service Center, Full-time. Atlanta, GA 30345

Responsible for all duties revolving around the scheduling of direct access colonoscopies requested via the Direct Access website. Responsible for obtaining accurate documentation of patient information, including medical records; management of physician schedules; coordination of referrals from Primary Care physicians and other specialists. Also responsible for providing patients with a general summary of benefits for their procedure at the time of scheduling. Responsible for providing training assistance and guidance to Direct Access Coordinators. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, responsible for the routine functioning of the Endoscopy Center. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.  The Charge Nurse is responsible for assisting with the achievement of patient outcomes with the mission of the facility.       

Provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center in accordance with physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, legal aspects of current nurse practice in the State of Georgia and the Center’s policies and procedures. The Charge Nurse is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care given to patients. Will have contact with the patient in each phase of his experience. Must be self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
