Dr. Lucas is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens, with a B.S. in zoology. After completing her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, she completed an internship in anesthesiology at Emory University and its affiliated hospitals. Dr. Lucas completed her residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Georgia and her fellowship in gastroenterology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
She began practicing in the Atlanta area in 1989 and joined Northside Gastroenterology, P.A., in 2004. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, the American Medical Association, the Georgia Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Society, and the Southern Medical Association.
