H. Ozgur (Oscar) Muslu M.D.

A native of Istanbul, Turkey, Dr. H. Ozgur (Oscar) Muslu received his medical degree from Istanbul University Medical School.  He then moved to the United States where he completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine - Caritas Carney Hospital. He also served as a research assistant in liver diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - Harvard Medical School. Dr. Muslu then moved to Miami, Florida, to train under world-renowned hepatologist, Dr. Eugene Schiff at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital.

After working in underserved communities in rural Appalachia, Dr. Muslu was appointed a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati, Division of Digestive Diseases, Section of Transplant Hepatology. There he taught medical students and residents, and treated patients with complex liver disorders and those who needed liver transplants. He also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology.

In addition to participating in medical research, Dr. Muslu has had both book chapters and abstracts published. He is a member of the American Association of the Study of Liver Diseases and has a special interest in general gastroenterology and endoscopic procedures as well as liver diseases.

Dr. Muslu joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2011.
