UC | Crohn's Treatment Center
At Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, our physicians provide expertise on conditions known as inflammatory bowel diseases, particularly the most common: ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease.
While UC and Crohn’s disease are chronic and there is no cure, there are many treatments that help alleviate symptoms and achieve remission of the disease. At the UC | Crohn’s Treatment Center, our goal is to provide patients with medical treatment to suppress the inflammatory response which allows the intestinal tissue to heal and to relieve patients from fever, diarrhea and abdominal pain. Once remission is induced and these symptoms are brought under control, we then turn to treatment that will maintain remission and decrease the frequency of symptomatic flare-ups.
In addition to providing the most up-to-date treatment options such as anti-inflammatory agents, corticosteroids, immunomodulators, and biologic therapies, the Center’s medical staff participates in clinical trials to investigate new methods of treatment.
The UC | Crohn’s Treatment Center is housed at AGA’s Saint Joseph’s location: 404.257.9000.
